Riders pay attention: Competition Rules!
Oct 10th
Hi!
As described before, LAUCC 2009 will follow the IUF (International Unicycling Federation) rules! Those rules will make our championship official and open doors for international championships in the future!
IUF rules are released each 2 years, just after the World Championship. The official rule book is dated 2008, but for 2009 IUF started testing new and better rules for Street and Flatland! We’re going to use those new rules that basically add:
-Battles Style in Flatland;
-Sessions Style in Street;
For trials we’re going to use the 2008 rules that are quite good!
For the riders who are going to compete there’s basically one thing to worry about: Safety Equipment!
The rulebooks are available from download in the end of this post, but to make things easier we listed what you MUST have!
For Trials: You MUST wear a helmet, gloves OR wrist protections, shin AND knee protections!
For Street: You MUST wear a helmet, shin AND knee protections!
For Flatland: You can ride without any protective gear!
During the convention we don’t ask any protective gears, but please if attempting tricks in the street and trials courses, wear a helmet!
The rulebooks download:
IUF 2008 Complete Rulebook (You’ll not find the currently Flat and Street rules in there)
If you don’t have some protective gear we can try to find for you, but getting from other riders during competitions is almost impossible! So the best is getting them from your local bikes/sports shop!
Online registration opened!
Oct 7th
This year LAUCC will not be able to receive the convention costs over the internet. All costs (You can find them on the information page), are going to be asked in the convention. Although, if you are SURE you’re going you can previously REGISTER, so we’ll be able to put you on the PARTICIPANTS LIST! Registering before will also help our team to prepare the competitions and lodging!
Any questions fell free to contact us throught our contact page!
