If you are a journalist you came to the right place!

LAUCC is not a huge event, but it’s the first event that brings unicyclists from different countries to the same place in Latin America! Unicycling is really famous around here as a circus attraction, but around North America and Europe, unicycles have been used as sport since 1970’s! The sport of unicycling counts with many competitions including a world championship that past year had over than 1500 participants, including south american athletes!

In Santiago will be able to see live some crazy tricks and moves performed by professional riders from different countries. We bring this time Flatland (ground tricks with a street look), Street (Something like one-wheeled BMX) and Trials (riders jumping over obstacles without falling). High Jump and Long jump tracks will be also built, so for the first time we’re going to have official Latin American records under the official IUF (International Unicycling Federation) rules.

Our riders will be able to give interviews and some special sections for journalists, photographers and film markers.

Even now with a basic explanation you may still find hard to figure out what extreme unicycling is, so we invite you to watch some videos from riders that’ll be there and from international unicycling events:

Pedro Tejada (Brazil): 16 years old brazilian rider dedicated to street and flatland riding and international event participations, getting 11 place in street and flatland competitions in the Winter European Championship and 9 place in the World Trials Championship (Cat. 14-15 years old). Pedro rides for the canadian factory Kris Holm Unicycles.

Martin Luthard (Argentina): Martin is a professional unicyclist from Argetina! Aged 20, Martin shows an impressive evolution line in three different riding disciplines! He’s also one of the most dedicated athletes in making unicycling a popular sport in Latin America.

Matias Gentillon (Chile): A more street focused rider, Matias lives in Chile and is the one of the promisses for LAUCC. Matias himself represents a image of the street cultures and bring unicycling with him on his latest video:

EUC: The Extreme Unicycling Championship is currently the equivalent to the European Championship and counts with riders from all over the world including south america! With high level competitions and organized by unicycling enthusiasts, EUC have been taken as a model for unicycling championships:

Liked? Please fell free to contact us! We would love to have you with us!

This events isn’t a huge production but is made by passionated riders who works together to grow unicycling in South America! For us media exposure is something really hard to get when alone in our countries, so we believe that this event is the best chance for that! We also think that you’ll be able to capture some nice images from the FIRST Latin American convention, something unknow for the main public and that grows in an advanced speed in Europe!!!

We hope to see you soon,
The LAUCC staff and all Latin American Riders!
